About The Artist

As an animal portrait artist, I've been honored with over a decade of drawing and painting the animals in peoples' lives. I work to portray not only a likeness, but the soul of an animal through my artwork.

This ability is what often moves my clients to tears upon seeing their best friend looking back at them.

It's the difference between just seeing an animal on a page, and feeling their presence.

I draw not only from photos, but from clients stories, and I love hearing what makes each animal unique. I've found over the years that these details are often just as important in conveying an animals' spirit as those found in their photographs.

I'm constantly inspired by the unique role animals play in our lives and the deep connection we have with them. We all know that these animals are so much more than "just pets".

I'm experienced and creative within many mediums, including charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor and digital.

A portion of all profits from commissioned portraits are donated to my favorite equine and canine non-profits, Windrush Farm, a therapeutic riding farm in Boxford, MA where I learned to ride and Perfect Pets Rescue, the group that saved my little pups from the streets of Georgia. Every portrait helps them work their magic!

My very first commissioned horse portrait of a Morgan in graphite back in 2003 when I was 15 years old. This was only about 7" long and drawn from a photograph. I still like how it came out!

My two wonderful, clever, “driving” dogs, Gershwin & Sukha!
